All adults referred to the practice are treated on a private basis, that is anyone aged 18yrs.or over. All people undertaking private treatment are given a written quotation. The fee that we quote is the full encompassing fee, with no hidden extras.

The treatment fees are normally payable with an initial 40%* deposit at the start of treatment, with the balance of the money paid on a monthly, per appointment visit, basis throughout the active treatment period.

We ask for full settlement of our fees prior to removal of the appliances. The fees that we quote include all active treatment, plus the provision of one set of retainers and supervision for one year post removal of the fixed braces.

A sizeable proportion of our work is carried out under private contract. This includes all adult treatment - for patients of 18 years old or over - and many complex cases. Some parents/patients opt for private treatment in order to benefit from its advantages as detailed below:

Appointment Times
· Out of school hours appointments.
· Minimum 20 minutes appointments.

Fixed Appliance Therapy
The use of ceramic, tooth coloured, brackets on the anterior teeth to make the appearance more acceptable. An example of these brackets is shown below.

Clearstep
A series of see-through clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or braces. An example of these aligners is shown below.

Arch Development Appliances / Orthopaedic Appliances / Functional Appliances
Arch Development appliances are available only on a private contract.

Thumb Sucker Appliances
For thumb sucking problems these appliances are only available within our practice on a private basis.

Space Maintainers
These are very useful for the maintaining of space for the development and dentition and again these are only available through our practice on a private basis.

Private treatment allows us to enhance all the growth available within the child to try and carry out the treatment on a non extraction basis. We are not restricted by the confine regulations of the NHS or seeking approval. Treatments can start promptly at the ideal time without any outside constraints.
